Adult CIFSC family members have the opportunity to work in the concession stand at the K. B. Willett Arena during Saturday and Tuesday Learn to Skate (LTS, Saturday and Sunday Public Skate Sessions and during the weekend of the Ice Show.  Workers must be 18 years or older (no one under the age of 18 is allowed in the concessions area).  Workers are required to attend a training session prior to working in the concession stand for the first time. The skater's ice package costs will be credited approximately $6/hour for each hour worked.  In addition, at the end of the skating season, a concession bonus check is received by the club and those funds will be divided up according to the number of hours worked and this additional credit can be used towards the following year's fall ice packages.  No cash payments will be made for hours worked beyond the skater's package costs.   If you sign up for concessions and fail to show up, the K.B. Willett penalty charge for no-shows will be passed on to you.  Please make sure to mark your selected dates on your calendar.  If you have a conflict and cannot find a replacement, please notify Wendy Wetzel, well in advance, and she will assist you.

To sign up for a shift on the online CIFSC Concession Calendar . . .

1) Click on this link: http://www.my.calendars.net/cifsc2/ to open the calendar (it will open in a new window so that you can toggle back and forth between the calendar and these directions).

2) Enter the "username" and "password" (given to you in your registration packet) in the box that pops up when clicking the link - you will not have access to the calendar without the username and password (this protects the privacy of club members).

3) Click on the underlined date of a shift you would like to work. (The number of workers needed per shift is in parenthesis after the time for each date.  Only sign up for a date if there is an opening.  At this time, you may sign up for 3 concession shifts per skater.  Members will be notified via email and/or the club bulletin board when more shifts become available.  If you see an date that is still open three days prior, you may take that shift even if you have already worked, or are signed up to work, the maximum three shifts (ie: an open Saturday shift can be filled on the previous Wednesday, an open Tuesday shift can be filled on Saturday). Please add “unfilled shift” after your name if you are signing up for one of these shifts.  If you sign up for an open shift too early, your entry will be deleted.

4) Click on "create" (under the yellow box that says "View Calendar").

5) In the white text box under the words "Calendar Text", enter the EVENT (PS=Public Skate; LTS=Learn to Skate; IS=Ice Show) and then your SKATER'S *LAST NAME using the following format:  LTS Smith or PS Jones.  *Please use skater's first initial AND last name, only if you share a last name with another skater who is not from the same immediate family.  If you have more than one skater, please use event, last name and number, i.e. "LTS Jones-1" and "LTS Jones-2" to sign up.  Many of the dates have more than one concession event and using the initials for the event will help to distinguish which event you are signing up for.  If you forget to enter the event, the date will be considered "open" for someone else to fill.  You should repeat steps 3-5 to create a new entry for the same event and then send an email to Sue Kulich so she can delete the incorrect entry.  ***Do not enter start time or end time; only enter information in the "calendar text" box.

6) Click "Submit"

7) Return to the calendar by clicking on the yellow box that says "View Calendar".  You should see the concession event you signed up for (PS, LTS, or IS) and your skater's last name in black text below the events.

If you need assistance or have made an error signing up, please call or email Wendy Wetzel.  CIFSC members can only add, not change or delete events on this calendar.  If you make a mistake and forget to enter the event when signing up, you cannot change it.  You can either email Wendy and ask her to change it (but remember, others can sign up for that date if the event is not listed) or repeat steps 3-5 to create a new entry for the same event and then send an email to Wendy Wetzel so she can delete the incorrect entry.

*** This calendar has a "search" feature so that you can search to see all concession events for your skater.  Click on "Calendars: Search" (above the "Saturday" column) and enter your skater's last name in the white box under "text".  Click "Search!!"  The calendar will now show only the dates in the month that contain your skater's last name.  You can also see all dates for the entire year. Repeat the search, but change the display type to "year" in the search box before clicking "Search!!"  Dates in the yearly calendar view that contain your skater's last name will appear with an asterisk.

To return to the concession calendar after using the "search" feature, click "NORMAL to see all events" in the upper right-hand corner.
