Adult CIFSC family members have the opportunity to work in the concession stand at the K. B. Willett Arena during Tuesday and Saturday Learn to Skate (LTS) sessions, Sunday and Saturday Public Skate (PS) sessions and during the weekend of the Ice Show.  Workers MUST be 18 years of age or older (no one under the age of 18 is allowed in the concession area).  Workers are required to attend the training session prior to working in the concession stand for the first time.

As compensation, the skater will receive an approximate credit of $6/hour for each hour worked.  In addition, at the end of the skating season, a concession bonus check is received by the club and those funds will be divided up according to the number of hours worked.  This will show up as a credit on the following year’s fall ice packages.  No cash payments will be made for hours worked beyond the skater’s package costs.

If you sign up for concessions and fail to show up, the K.B. Willett penalty charge for no-shows will be passed on to you.  Please make sure you mark your selected dates on your calendar.  If you have a conflict and cannot find a replacement, please notify SUE BURANT (sjburant@gmail.com), well in advance, and she will assist you.

Sign-up for the concessions will be online only and begins on Wednesday, August 24th at 9:00 pm.

To sign-up for a concession shift on the online CIFSC Concession Calendar:

1.      1.  Go to www.cifsc.net.  Click on the CONCESSIONS link on the left side.  Click on the CALENDAR link – it will open in a new window so that you can toggle back and forth between the calendar and the directions.

2.  2.  Enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD (provided at the Fall Meeting and available from Sue Burant at sjburant@gmail.com) in the box that pops up when clicking the link.  You will not have access to the calendar without the username and password (this protects the privacy of club members).

3.   3.  Click on the underlined date (number in top left corner) of a shift you would like to work.  The number of workers needed per shift is in parenthesis after the time for each date.  Only sign up for a date if there is an opening.  At this time, you may sign up for three (3) concession shifts per skater.  Members will be notified via email, the website, and/or the club bulletin board when more shifts become available.

** If you see a date that is still open three (3) days prior, you may take that shift even if you have already worked, or are signed up to work the maximum three (3) shifts.  For example – an open Saturday shift can be filled on the previous Wednesday; an open Tuesday shift can be filled on Saturday.  Please add “unfilled shift” after your name if you are signing up for one of these shifts.

4.   4.  Click on CREATE (under the yellow box that says “View Calendar”).  In the white text box under the words CALENDAR TEXT, enter the event (LTS=Learn to Skate, PS=Public Skate or IS=Ice Show) and then your skater’s LAST name, using the following format:  LTS Smith or PS Jones.  If there is another skater with your same last name, please use the first initial (and possibly the second) – example…LTS Ka Burant.  If you forget to enter the event, the date will be considered OPEN for someone else to fill.  You should repeat steps 3-4 to create a new entry for the same event and then send an email to SUE BURANT so she can delete the incorrect entry.  ** DO NOT ENTER THE START TIME OR END TIME; only enter information in the calendar text box.

5.   5.  Click SUBMIT

6.   6.  Return to the calendar by clicking on the yellow box that says “View Calendar”.  You should see the concession event you signed up for (PS, LTS or IS) and your skater’s last name in BLACK text behind the event.  Once it is confirmed by the Concession Chairperson, it will become "colored".

If you need assistance or have made an error signing up, please call or email SUE BURANT (sjburant@gmail.com).

CIFSC members can only add events on this calendar.  They are not able to change or delete entries; email Sue Burant if you need an entry deleted.
