Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club  (CIFSC)  is a non-profit organization for area figure skaters who wish to skate for recreation, competition or to improve and develop skating skills beyond basic levels.  Persons age eighteen or younger who skate at Freestyle 1 level or above may apply for membership in the club.
The club provides ice time, testing, exhibitions, and an opportunity to participate in the ice show at K.B. Willett Arena.

The club is governed by a constitution and by-laws which can be obtained from the CIFSC Board.  CIFSC is managed by a board of directors consisting of nine people elected by club members.

Members of the board  serve a three year term.  Board meetings are held once each month during the skating season or as often as needed.   Meetings are generally held the second Sunday of the month, please check the message board for dates, times and location or contact a board member.

How do I join the club?
Two organizational meetings are held in the fall (usually August or September) of each year, different days and different times in hopes to accommodate all schedules.  The meeting dates and times are published in the Stevens Point Daily Journal.  You may also contact K.B. Willett for information or check the CIFSC bulletin board located inside K.B. Willett Arena or contact any board member for information.

Who may join?
Club membership is offered to those skaters at Freestyle I or higher (according to ISI standards).

Who is in the club?
All members receive a list of names, addresses and phone numbers of the members.  Lists are for personal use only and are not for circulation as general mailing lists.

How do I know what happens in the club?
Club members receive a monthly newsletter.  Newsletters are mailed to the skaters (or emailed if preferred) and also available on the website.  The newsletter gives information about things happening in the club, special offers, package vacancies, meeting dates, schedule changes, tryout dates, etc.  Newsletters will be available in the CIFSC mail box after distribution date.  In addition, this web site will be up dated frequently.

How much does it cost to join the club?
Skating club fees vary according to the number of hours you want to skate.  Ice time available to the club is divided into time slots called packages.  Package times vary, but last approximately 50 minutes for the length of the skating season.  Packages are offered at various times of the day and week.  You should select a package according to your skating level and the availability of your coach.

When are skating fees due?
Fees are payable in one installment at registration or in two installments - 50% when registering and the remainder December 1st.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds are not given for missed club package sessions.  You may sell any package times you will not be able to skate to other club members.  Contact individual members or put a small notice on the bulletin board with your name, number, and date and time of the session you want to sell. You will determine the fee.

Refunds for coaching are to be discussed with the individual coach.  If you are not able to make your lesson with your coach you must notify the coach as far in advance as possible.  Please remember the coach has reserved that time slot for you and is depending upon your payment as a part of their income.  Payment for missed lessons vary from coach to coach. Please discuss this at the start of the season with your coach.

What about fundraising?
Each family is expected to participate in fundraising.  The funds raised are used to defray some of the cost of the ice.  Without this money, the ice fees would be substantially higher.  All fundraisers will be announced as needed.
