2008 G2C Thanks to all the skaters who attended the G2C camp on June 13th.
It seems the camp was a great success. I have received several comments
on how much everyone enjoyed it and felt they walked away (or should I say
skated away) learning something new or different. The G2C coaches
commented on what a great group of kids we have and how they were "So
teachable and willing to learn". The skaters worked VERY hard that
day and deserve a round of applause! Parents you can be proud of your
skaters, they not only skated hard they were also very respectful of all the
coaches and parent helpers at rink that day. Thank you for making it
possible for for them to have such a great experience. Also,
a big thank you to all our CIFSC coaches who attended the camp to help out
that day and maybe pick up a few tips from the G2C coaches.

Hawks Supervision Now that we are moving back to the Ice Hawks Arena
for the remainder of the summer skating season, a situation has been called
to our attention. There are some
skating sessions that have not had coaches scheduled to teach and parents
have been dropping their skaters off not realizing there is no adult
supervision in the building. Not only
is it necessary to have an adult there to make sure skaters are using their
time wisely, this could also be dangerous.
If a skater got hurt, there would be no adult there to take charge of
the situation. We do not want to
assign rink monitors, so we are asking when you drop your skater off, go into
the rink and make sure there is an adult that will be there during the
skating session. The Ice Hawks Arena
does not have someone on staff there at all times like the Willett does. Synchro
team tryouts Synchro
team tryouts will be on Sunday, August 24th at the Ice Hawks Arena. Point Perfection will be from Spring
Ice Show Mark your calendar, the Ice Show will take place
March 28th and 29th next year |
