Concession Stand News
You may now sign up to work one more shift IF your skater skates more than one package, including synchro. If your skater only skates one package and does not do synchro., please do not take another shift at this time. If the shifts do not get filled with those skaters, it will be opened up to everyone. Also, please note the times have changed somewhat for the shifts. Saturday morning shifts now begin at 8:30, not 8:00 and Sunday shifts begin at 12:30. And, one last reminder.........skaters are not allowed in the concession stand.
Workers must be over 18 years of age.

Dress Exhibition: Monday, January 7th
If you have not signed up for a time to skate your competition program, please do so. The sign up sheet is on the board at the Willett. Pizzas will be ordered for the skaters and their families and you are welcome to bring a snack to share. Sweet treats are welcome, however, we are encouraging healthy snacks.  Please drop off your snack to share between 5:00 and 5:30 in the KB Willett warming room. Pictures for the scrapbook will also be taken that night and you will  be able to order a button from that picture. Button pictures will also be taken at Ice Show time, but if you would like one in your competition dress, you can order one that night.

Competition Tips
Taken from: "Tips From the Masters"
What is the first thing a judge, the other skaters, coaches, and audiences see when a skater takes the ice? Not the jumps, spins, or dances.......it's the STROKING! You can form an immediate opinion of a skater by the way they stroke. Long strokes with good extension, secure upper body, solid arms, a good back, and good head position tell a lot about a skater. Jumps, spins, and footwork look better with good presentation. Stroking is important and so is the way a skater takes the ice and arrives at their starting position. Don't forget to practice the way you end the program, take your bow, and exit the ice. These are just as important to practice for that finishing touch!

Important Reminders:
***Balances on packages and synchronized team bills are due
Jan. 12th. If the bill is not paid in a timely manner, the skater will not be allowed to participate in the Ice Show.

***Make sure to check the CD Playing Schedule! You will be charged $20 for each no-show. Please notify Sue Kulich (sue@kulichs.com) if you switch dates with someone (so you won't be charged if your replacement is a no-show). Also, let Sue know if you fill in for someone who was a no-show so you can receive credit for doing so (you will also receive the credit if no one shows up and you are the only rink monitor).
